Preschool Classes

 

FLIPS Tots! - So much fun for Ages 1.5-2.5 years!  This FULLY PARENTED class will cover the following:

Rhythm, Dance, & Social Activities, Fine Motor Skills, Body Awareness & Stimulation, Vault, ​Beam, Bars/Rings/Ropes and ​Floor.  Get more details on what's covered during this class on the online registration page.  Participants are to wear shorts/t-shirt or a bodysuit and tie back long hair.  Please bring a water bottle.

 

Little FLIPPERS - So much fun for Ages 2-3.5 years!  This FULLY PARENTED class will cover the following:

FLIPPIN' Terrific! -  Lets Get Started Ages 3 - 4.5 years!  This PARENT ASSISTED class will cover the following:

FLIPPIN' Awesome- We are Awesome Ages 4-5!  This UN-PARENTED class will cover the following:

FLIPPING Stars -  We are Superstars Ages 5-6 years!  This UN-PARENTED class will cover the following:

Rhythm, Dance, & Social Activities, Fine Motor Skills, ​Body Awareness, Conditioning & Flexibility, ​Vault, ​Beam, Bars/Rings/Ropes, ​and Floor.  Get more details on what's covered during this class on the online registration page.

Recreational Gymnastics

Age 5 & 6 - This introductory class, for kids age 5 and 6, will have gymnasts learn basic fundamentals and start gaining physical fitness/strength by participating in a warm-up/stretching period and then proceeding to work on basic gymnastics skills.  Gymnasts are welcome to register in more than one class per week however it is not mandatory.  Participants are to wear shorts/t-shirt or a bodysuit and tie back long hair.  Please bring a water bottle.

Age 7 & 8 -   This class is a second level class that will  introduce gymnastics to core skills and body positions.  Building on their current skills, participants will continue to work on the vault, beams and bars.

Gymnasts are welcome to register in more than one class per week.  However, this is not mandatory. 

 Participants are to wear shorts/t-shirt or a bodysuit and tie back long hair.  Please bring a water bottle.

Age 9 & 10 - As a continuation of previous levels, gymnastics will work to advance through vault, bars, beam and floor.  Their confidence and ability will improve as they master new skills.  Participants are to wear shorts/t-shirt or a bodysuit and tie back long hair.  Please bring a water bottle.

Advanced Recreational Gymnastics

Tumbling -  Flips is very excited to offer a tumbling class. The program is for gymnasts (ages 6+) who want flipping fun only.  In this 2-hour class we will focus on conditioning and tumbling skills such as round-offs, front and back handsprings, front and back tucks, jumps, and aerials. This is great class for cheer leaders, dancers or those just wanting to tumble.  Wear shorts/t-shirt or a bodysuit and tie back long hair.  Please bring a water bottle.

Advanced Gymnastics - *Formerly called Junior Olmypics and Boys Only*.  Advanced Gymnastics classes transition athletes from an advanced level of recreational gymnastics to Competitive gymnasts.   These classes build on the skills developed in previous levels so that gymnasts are well prepared to practice the advanced artistic and technical elements of uneven bars, balance beam, floor, and vault. 

At this level it is preferred that gymnasts train at least twice a week and registration in a Strength Training class is advised but not mandatory.  Participants are to wear shorts/t-shirt or a bodysuit and tie back long hair.  Please bring a water bottle.

Ninja Warrior Obstacle Advanced -  Ready to be a ninja warrior?  Race through the ultimate ninja obstacle course!  Run, jump, climb and swing through an obstacle course.  This 2 hour class focuses on speed, agility, obstacle course training and ninja based gymnastics!

Preschool Play Time - Fridays -  Preschool Play Time is an exciting NEW program offered at FLIPS where parents and caregivers are invited to bring their preschoolers to experience healthy, active 'fun time' at our facility.  This is an unstructured, caregiver-supervised time for kids to explore the gym, enjoy a play date and make new friends.  Preschoolers can explore fun circuits, play on the mats, climb rope and other fun equipment.   New circuits and games will be set up each week.  This program is designed for boys and girls from walking to age 6 years old.  Coaches will be present to provide general guidance and safety. 

Drop-in Open Gym  All Ages Open Gym is an exciting NEW program offered at FLIPS where gymnastics are invited to experience healthy, active 'fun time' at our facility.  This is a structured, supervised time for kids to explore the gym, enjoy a play date and make new friends.  Gymnasts can explore fun circuits, play on the mats, climb ropes and other fun equipment.  New circuits and games will be set up each week.

Obstacle Course Racing ( Adults) Class - Obstacle course race classes are designed to improve athletes' obstacle proficiency through focusing on strength conditioning and building obstacle endurance with the goal of improving performance in obstacle course races.
