​Waivers and PIPA:
AGF waivers expire on Jun 30 and must be are to be completed again after July 1 for upcoming season (paper or electronic). Members who do not have completed waivers on file WILL NOT be allowed to participate (including caregivers and adults).
*Please note that adults participating in Little Flipper's or Preschool Drop-in are required to completed an Adult Waiver.
​​Registration
Online registration and payment to be completed prior to class. You must create a profile (account) in Jackrabbit to register for classes. Payments are processed on the 1st and 15th of each month (whichever is next) so it is normal to have outstanding amounts until the next processing date.
Volunteer and Fundraising Deposits
FLIPS is a non-profit society that relies heavily on assistance from membership and the community to keep programs sustainable and cost effective. We kindly ask that all families (regardless of number of registrations) give back to the club through volunteer and fundraising initiatives.
Commitment deposits are due the first day of your class. As volunteer hours and fundraising targets are met, FLIPS will credit/refund a portion of the deposit. Members who have not handed in deposits will be considered opt-out and will have the full amounts charged to the credit card on file on the next business day.

CanGym Gymnastics (Co-ed, Ages 6+ years)
Participants are encouraged to attend FLIPS mini meets (session show) to demonstrate their progress.
Please note that progress is child specific and it may take more than one session to master required skills There may be a fee for pre-program assessment.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
​
Burgundy (Badge 1)
Burgundy is the class to start your novice gymnast or Preschool Gymnastics graduate. Fun activities are used to build gymnastics foundations in children 6 years and up. Dynamic warm-ups, circuits, stations, group activities, and appropriate flexibility and conditioning will have your gymnast hooked!

Red (Badge 2)
Red is the second level in the CanGym program. Basics learned in Burgundy are developed further through circuits, stations, and appropriate flexibility and conditioning training. The height of safety landings is higher; more rotational skills (rolls) are taught; balances, hangs, swings and power hurdle progressions are introduced.

Tan (Badge 3)
Once completing Burgundy and Red, your little flipper will be ready for Tan! In continuation from the previous levels, this class will include front and stride support, swings, and skin the cat on the bar. Rotational skills will progress to roll-out from headstands, as well as continuing with front and back rolls. Supported (wall) handstands are introduced. Movements, balances, and stationary positions continue to be taught. A portion of each class will involve level appropriate flexibility and conditioning training.

Bronze (Badge 4)
Bronze is the milestone badge that marks the completion of Novice CanGym. This 90 minute class pulls together the foundational skills learned in previous levels. Athletes will learn casts, glide swings, and pullovers on the bar as well as power hurdle, dive rolls, cartwheels, and shoulder stands. Movements, balances, and stationary positions continue to be taught. A portion of each class will involve level appropriate flexibility and conditioning training.

Boys Beginner Rec (Badges 1-4)
Just for boys! This 75minute class takes the development goals from the first four CanGym levels and turns them sideways. Fast paced and fun, this introductory class is sure to challenge boys age 4-7 years who are starting their gymnastics journey. Foundational movements and skills are taught in unique ways using common apparatus (high bar, vault, floor), mens apparatus (rings, pommel, parallel bars), trampoline, and a touch of gym warrior. Safe landing and fall stations are incorporated into every lesson.

Intermediate Rec (Badges 5-8)
Intermediate Rec class is for those who are interested in focusing on the women's or men's equipment. Covering the CanGym Purple, Blue, Turquoise, and Silver badges, this class continues with improving technique, skills and training so that gymnasts are well prepared to practice increasingly awesome gymnastics skills. A portion of each class will involve level appropriate flexibility and conditioning training. ​​
