Burgundy (Badge 1)

Burgundy is the class to start your novice gymnast or Preschool Gymnastics graduate. Fun activities are used to build gymnastics foundations in children 6 years and up. Dynamic warm-ups, circuits, stations, group activities, and appropriate flexibility and conditioning will have your gymnast hooked!

Red (Badge 2)

Red is the second level in the CanGym program. Basics learned in Burgundy are developed further through circuits, stations, and appropriate flexibility and conditioning training. The height of safety landings is higher; more rotational skills (rolls) are taught; balances, hangs, swings and power hurdle progressions are introduced.

Tan (Badge 3)

Once completing Burgundy and Red, your little flipper will be ready for Tan! In continuation from the previous levels, this class will include front and stride support, swings, and skin the cat on the bar. Rotational skills will progress to roll-out from headstands, as well as continuing with front and back rolls. Supported (wall) handstands are introduced. Movements, balances, and stationary positions continue to be taught. A portion of each class will involve level appropriate flexibility and conditioning training.

Bronze is the milestone badge that marks the completion of Novice CanGym. This 90 minute class pulls together the foundational skills learned in previous levels. Athletes will learn casts, glide swings, and pullovers on the bar as well as power hurdle, dive rolls, cartwheels, and shoulder stands. Movements, balances, and stationary positions continue to be taught. A portion of each class will involve level appropriate flexibility and conditioning training.
