
CanJump Trampoline and Tumbling (Ages 6+ years)
The CanJump program allows athletes to develop their skills in trampoline and tumbling. Each step leads to more advanced skills. There are 12 different steps to help athletes develop flexibility, courage, strength, technique and landings in a safe environment.
Participants are encouraged to attend FLIPS mini meets (session show) to demonstrate their progress.
Participants will receive a progress report at the end of each session.
Please note that progress is child specific and it may take more than one session to master required skills There may be a fee for pre-program assessment.
CanJump Bronze (Levels 1 to 4)
CanJump Bronze is a 2 hour class that builds on the basic landings and shape jumps of trampoline. Participants will further develop body awareness on the trampoline by beginning to add twists and turns to their seat drops and front drops. Participants will also develop their tumbling skills as they learn dive rolls and handstands. While the athlete can advance faster in one discipline than another, all compulsory skills must be completed to advance to level 5 (CanJump Silver) and beyond.
CanJump Silver (Levels 5 to 8)
In CanJump Silver, athletes will be introduced to inverted skills as well as complex skills and combinations to help increase spatial awareness. While the athlete can advance faster in one discipline than another, all compulsory skills must be completed to advance to level 9 (CanJump Gold) and beyond.
* At least 8 years old AND one of:
1. CanJump Bronze completion
2. Coach assessment/placement
CanJump Gold (Levels 9 to 12)
In CanJump Gold, advanced gymnastics and trampoline fundamentals are taught while increasing fitness levels and having tons of fun. While the athlete can advance faster in one discipline than another, all compulsory skills must be completed.
* At least 10 years old AND one of:
1. CanJump Silver completion
2. Coach assessment/placement
Volunteer & Fundraising Commitments:
Members are required to provide a $100 Volunteer commitment deposit AND a $100 Fundraising Commitment deposit at the beginning of each 3 month session. These deposits signal that you are committing to $100 in fundraising during the session, as well as 2 hours of volunteering. Cheques/cash will be returned once volunteer and fundraising duties have been fulfilled. If duties are not fulfilled by the end of session, cheques/cash will be deposited. Participants WILL NOT be allowed on the floor until the commitment deposits have been submitted.
Registration, Waivers and PIPA:
Online registration and payment to be completed prior to class. AGF waivers (found here) are to be completed once per session (paper or electronic). Members who do not have completed waivers on file WILL NOT be allowed to participate (including caregivers and adults). Please ensure registration is complete before attending class.
